Only the curious have something to find

My biggest fear is that you’ll just give in, that you won’t fight for what you love.

Standing on an edge, a border, blood coursing with the desire to extend a vein of change. Love is grand, but it kills. Play if you dare. A game of chance, is it green or is it red. Questions that swing ajar. Two can play at the same game. But it’s no easy game, with no easy winner. In fact, there is no guarantee. These waters are rough, so tread carefully.  The current rides on a leap of faith. But who is willing to take it? Will the jump be successful? Or will you be crushed by the jagged rocks of the cliff, shattered with a spear dug straight through your soul? Is it fear that stops this journey from reaching its destination or is it another. No one can be sure, for a game of mind reading is untouchable. You are not born with this power. Yet instead, you are born to explore. You are born to take risks. You are born to have a heart, a soul, capable of loving, but then again, capable of breaking. A challenging build that can break with the stroke of the wrong feather seems hardly worth it. Oh but it is so worth it, if you win, that is. And so I believe the question now is, avoid that feather at all costs? Or go with it, chance it, endure the poison if it so chooses you. And it very well might. Will you be ready? To piece together particles as small as sand to fix what was broken if need be? You are the only one who can save yourself. Fight the fight. And remember, hope is your only friend, and your biggest enemy. Do not fall into its trap. It is there to provide temporary peace, with the lingering dream of the possible chance, but if you let it conquer, disappointment and pain awaits. Hope plays a clever game. It will get to you and crush you if you do not succeed. Mind over matter. So succeed, for it is your only option. Not so easily said than done. Especially when there is no guarantee. Everything is on the line. Your reward could be grand, but remember, love kills.
